David Gross is a 15-year boy who was born with a genetic condition called Russell Silver Syndrome, that affects his growth and development. Since birth, David has overcome every obstacle put in his way, which include over 12 surgeries that fix many different problems David was born with, hearing problems, being able to eat through a gastrostomy tube and more.
One of his biggest challenges is having one leg being much longer than the other leg. To prevent spinal issues, David has worn a custom-made shoe on his smaller leg which includes a lift on the shoe to have both legs be the same height. When he was just six years old, he bravely went through an intense leg-lengthening surgery. During this time, David showed bravery and endurance far beyond his years.
The problem is, Russell-Silver Syndrome doesn’t stop. Over time, the difference in his legs has returned, and now, David needs another surgery to fix it. David and his family cannot do it by themselves, they are asking for your help to cover the extreme medical expenses that come with the surgery. They are asking for help from anyone who’s willing to stand beside David and give him the chance at a better, more comfortable life.
