Friendship Circle Adult Division

Friendship, Inclusion & Jewish Community

The Friendship Circle Adult Division creates meaningful opportunities for adults with disabilities to connect, participate, and build lasting friendships within the greater Houston Jewish community.

Each month, participants enjoy a variety of Jewish, holiday, and social programs alongside young adult volunteers from YJP (Young Jewish Professionals) Houston and other young adults from throughout the Houston area.

Our goal is simple but meaningful: to help adults with disabilities take an active part in Jewish communal life while developing genuine friendships that can last a lifetime.

Bringing Friendship to the Community

The Adult Division serves residents of the Richmond and Brenham State Supported Living Centers, as well as individuals living in other facilities throughout the greater Houston area. Volunteers visit regularly and bring the warmth and joy of Jewish life through monthly visits, holiday celebrations, and special programs.

The Adult Division also partners with Celebration Company for programming and hosts activities at the Stein Family Friendship Garden, creating welcoming spaces where participants and volunteers can spend time together, socialize, celebrate, and connect.

Our Story

The Friendship Circle Adult Division was founded in 1999 with the help and guidance of Ms. Ileene Robinson, of blessed memory (Z"L). Her vision and dedication helped establish a program centered on dignity, belonging, friendship, and inclusion—a mission we are proud to continue today.
